The World‘s Most Popular Footballer Amongst Currently Active Players in 2007
International Federation of Football History & Statistcs today announced most voted football players in 2007.
More than million votes (1,017,786) was received for Egyptian player Mohamed Aboutreika.
Saudi Arabian player Yasser Al-Qahtani has received 613,116 votes, while his rival from Iraq Younis Mahmoud Khalaf received 583,769 votes. One more player who received more than 100,000 votes was Rogério Ceni from Brazil with 250,323 votes.
Spartak Moscor player Yegor Titov from Russia received 34,816. Adrian Mutu from Romania and Brazilian Kaká who plays for AC Milan received 21,481 and 20,313 votes accordingly.
Top 10 is completed by Mohamed Amine Chermiti (16,278 votes) from Tunisia, Ismail Matar (15,780) from UAE and Lionel Messi (14,934) from Argentina.
Brazilian Ronaldo who is playing for AC Milan is at 12th place with 13,016 votes, David Beckham (10,518) is at 14th place.
